About CurrentCardio
Making cardiology research easier to follow.
Every week, cardiovascular journals publish more new studies than anyone in practice or research can read. The results that matter are spread across many journals and are easily missed or found late.
CurrentCardio exists to give a structured, clinically relevant overview of that research as it appears — always tied to the original publication.
How CurrentCardio works
Leading journals
35 cardiovascular and general medical journals are followed as they publish, so new studies are found in the week they appear.
View journalsClinical relevance
Each new study is screened against predefined criteria for its relevance to cardiology; what falls outside them is set aside.
What’s includedStructured Briefs
Each eligible study is written up in one fixed structure from its published abstract, and linked to the original article.

Each week the studies most worth reading are selected, three of them Featured, and published on Monday.

The founder
Who is behind CurrentCardio?
CurrentCardio was founded by Christian Byskov Fur, MD, a medical doctor and PhD student at Aarhus University, Denmark, conducting research in cardiology.
The platform was created to make it easier for clinicians and researchers to stay informed about newly published cardiovascular research, while maintaining a clear connection to the original scientific publications.
