Authors' conclusion

In the United States, IVL is increasingly adopted to facilitate TF TAVR. IVL TAVR patients exhibited a higher burden of comorbidities and experienced more complications compared to non-IVL TAVR patients.

Study context

Population
Patients undergoing percutaneous transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Vizient Clinical Database, US, October 2020–November 2023
Participants
