Authors' conclusion

In the THIRD registry, SVD emerged as the predominant indication for a third aortic valve procedure. The most frequent procedure sequence was SAVR-SAVR-TAVR, whereas TAVR-TAVR-TAVR was less common.

Study context

Population
Patients undergoing a third aortic valve procedure (surgical or transcatheter), THIRD registry, 11 centres
Participants
51 patients · 11 centres
Exposure
Surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) vs transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) as third aortic valve intervention
  • SAVRn = 18
  • TAVRn = 33
