Stage 2: early organ damage — T2DM, asymptomatic diastolic dysfunction, metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Stage 3: more advanced organ damage affecting multiple organs
Management: lifestyle changes, pharmacotherapy, and metabolic surgery in severe cases
