Design of VICTORION-2 Prevent: A randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, assessing the impact of inclisiran on major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease
- Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, international trial
- ongoing
Study context
- Population
- Patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) (history of MI, ischemic stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease) and fasting plasma low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) ≥ 1.8 mmol/L (70 mg/dL) despite high-intensity statin therapy (≥ 20 mg rosuvastatin or ≥ 40 mg atorvastatin daily)
- Planned comparison
- inclisiran sodium 300 mg or placebo
- Primary endpoint
- Time to first occurrence of 3-point major adverse cardiovascular (CV) events:
- 3P-MACE
- Composite of CV death
- MI
- Ischemic stroke
