Recommendations
As issued by the authors
Women with a new diagnosis of PPCM should be involved in decision-making on therapies, e.g. abstaining from breastfeeding or use of cardiac implantable electronic devices
Women living with PPCM must be informed that a future pregnancy always carries a substantial risk and, with poor cardiac recovery, high morbidity and mortality
Patients with PPCM are best managed by an interdisciplinary, multiprofessional approach (e.g. cardiologist, gynaecologist, nurses, psychologist, social workers)
