Predictors of Target Lesion Failure in Patients With In-Stent Restenosis: Insights From the AGENT IDE Trial

Circ Cardiovasc IntervPublished

  • post hoc analysis of the AGENT IDE trial

Authors' conclusion

Our findings highlight the variable risk of in-stent restenosis governed by relatively few patient and lesion factors and underscore the significance of optimal lesion preparation before drug-coated balloon therapy as a potentially modifiable factor.

Study context

Population
Patients with in-stent restenosis randomized to treatment with the paclitaxel-coated balloonrandomized to paclitaxel-coated balloon, of 600 patients with in-stent restenosis in the AGENT IDE trial
Participants
406 patients
Comparison
Demographic, clinical, and core laboratory angiographic predictors of 2-year target lesion failure (TLF)

Primary result

As reported in the abstract

2-year TLF (ischemia-driven target lesion revascularization, target vessel-related myocardial infarction, or cardiac death) · 2-year follow-up

TLF occurred
