Pulsed field ablation with Renal denervation for persistent Atrial fibrIllation: Rationale and design of the PRAISE-AF randomized trial
- single center, prospective, randomized, patient-blinded, sham-controlled pilot exploratory trial
Study context
- Population
- Patients with symptomatic persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) undergoing first-time catheter ablationplanned enrolment
- Participants
- 86 patients
- Planned comparison
- Pulsed field ablation (PFA) combined with renal denervation (RDN) vs PFA combined with a sham RDN procedure
- Primary endpoint
- Freedom from documented atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence, including AF, atrial flutter, or atrial tachycardia lasting more than 30 seconds, after a single ablation procedure without AADs
- Follow-up
- Within 12 months
