Authors' conclusion

In our series, TLE was a safe and efficacious approach to reduce the degree of TR or serve as a bridge to tricuspid intervention.

Study context

Population
Patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) and a lead crossing the tricuspid valve who were being considered for catheter-based tricuspid valve intervention (transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) or tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair) and underwent transvenous lead extraction (TLE) for TR between July 2020 and July 2025patients who underwent TLE for TR
Participants
24 patients

Main finding

As reported in the abstract

Complete TLE procedural success
  • Complete TLE procedural success was achieved in all patients

Further findings

Reduction in TR after extraction

patients
