ESC Heart FailPublished multicenter investigator-initiated single-blinded randomized controlled trial

Study context

Population
Adult patients diagnosed with inflammatory cardiomyopathy (Infl-CMP) by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) or fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) within the prior 3 months, with ventricular arrhythmias (VA) or LVSD/heart failure (HF) phenotypepatients randomized since December 2023, 40 patients per group required
Participants
29 patients
Planned comparison
Colchicine compared with placebo
Primary endpoint
Proportion of patients alive and free from any clinical, arrhythmic, or imaging worsening, and who demonstrate improvement in either imaging or arrhythmic outcomes
Follow-up
6 months
